The technology relates to a rice thresher with built-in compact paddy separator performing both threshing and cleaning operations at the same time to reduce operation time and capable of mechanically threshing and cleaning rice with an average threshing efficiency of 97% and average paddy purity of up to 95%.

​Technical Feature:

The technology has three component parts: a threshing drum, paddy separator and a series of V-belts, pulleys and gears to transmit power from the engine drive.

Applications and Commercial Opportunities:

There is a demand for such a machine considering that the Philippines is an agricultural country and having such a machine which can be manufactured at a low cost and provide a threshing efficiency of 97% and average paddy purity of up to 95% is indeed a big help. It may be marketed through agricultural machine fabricators/manufacturers and dealers who will make it available to the rice producers/farmer’s cooperatives.The technology aims to provide a thresher with built-in compact paddy separator for improved threshing efficiency, higher paddy purity, reduced operation time in threshing and cleaning, ease of maintenance with portability at low cost. Given these advantages over existing similar technologies, the CAPSU Rice thresher will be very useful to our farmers.
