Pili Seal® is a new product invention of sustainable aviation sealant made from both raw and waste material particularly the waste of Pili Tree Resin which is also called as “spent resin”. This patented invention is a pioneering study and a revolutionary activity in the global aviation sector and most especially in the field of adhesive and sealant industry that uses the waste material as the base ingredient for the sealant production. It is a two-component sealant, comprising either raw or waste Pili Tree Resin that serves as the base material for the aviation sealant formulation, along with the hardener material. It is applicable for specific aircraft parts particularly the integral fuel tank to avoid fuel leakages. This sealant is effective for sealing not only fuel tanks but also other areas exposed to aircraft fuels, lubricants, oils, water, and weathering.

One of the unique features of this invention is that it offers safe & non-toxic effects to the user’s health including the mechanics & technicians since this product has undergone Toxicity Test. Aside from that, this product invention is beneficial & effective in the different substrate including metal, glass, wood and composite materials. Following rigorous evaluation of its performance, application, and effectiveness, Pili Seal demonstrates remarkable qualities and attributes. It has undergone rigorous testing, including 20 different standard tests, where it outperformed the data results of the conventional sealants commonly used in the aviation industry, especially within aircraft integral fuel tanks. These tests cover a range of properties, including physical, chemical, mechanical, thermal, and rheological characteristics.

Business Potential:

The product invention is initially designed for the aviation sector and its marketplace. However, due to the stringent and high standard requirement of the aviation sector, it opened various potentiality to the product specifically its other applications in the different field of industry including the Construction and Building Sector, Automotive, Roof Application, Marine sector, Wood and Furniture Industry to name a few, maximizing the function and usage of this Pili Seal product.
