Description

The solar tracking system with manual override controller to address the problems of errors in automating tracking. It will also address in protecting the system from the strong wind pressures in times of storms and strong winds. Manual controlling the position of the solar panels will correct the position of the solar panels in line with east-west direction.

​Innovative Features and Benefits:

The invention can both operate automatic solar tracking and manual solar tracking by the use of the override controller. If an error occurs because of an unusual situation like a bird happens to cover the sensor from the sun, the correction is easily done by switching to override mode and then the position is adjusted using the two buttons that can move forward and reverse run. Switching back to auto-mode is easily done by switching the selector.

Business Potential:

The invention solar tracking system with the feature of manual override mode wherein if there is an error in the automatic solar tracking direction in auto-mode, the problem is easily solved by manual manipulation of correcting the right angle normal to the sun for the solar panel. It is also useful in addressing the problem during storms, typhoons, or strong winds to set the solar panels in the horizontal position to at least prevent damages from too much pressure. Disabling the microcontroller’s action in tracking the sun is not as fast if you need to turn off the device and disassemble it to correct the error, but by simply switching the mode to override mode, the task is fast and simple for this invention.
